What is Home Based Care?
Home based childcare enables preschool children to be cared for and educated in the homes of our educarers or in their own homes. We offer the following services Monday to Sunday:
There is a maximum of four children allocated to a carer at any one time which gives the children lots of one-on-one time with their educarer. Giggles Home Based Care is an alternative to the traditional daycare centres and provides a safe, welcoming environment for your child to learn and grow in.
Who are the Educarers?
Giggles home based educarers are carefully selected people from a range of backgrounds who have been thoroughly checked and educated to ensure that children placed with them are safe, stimulated and well cared for.
How do Educarers get Selected?
Giggles Educarers must be experienced in caring for children and demonstrate a warm and caring nature. Home based educarers' homes must comply with the Ministry of Education's Home Based Care Order, which requires that each home must have a fenced outdoor area for children to play in and provide a smoke-free, safe, secure and stimulating environment. Home based educarers and any other people over 17 years of age living in their homes must under go police checks.
